Position Overview: The River Valley Run Assistant Race Director supports the Race Director in coordinating and implementing the River Valley Run race series. Must be committed to the mission and values of River Valley Ranch. Duties include:
Position Overview: The River Valley Run Assistant Race Director supports the Race Director in coordinating and implementing the River Valley Run race series.
Registration – oversee registration process, make changes to registrations per email requests
Marketing (flyers, social, email, radio) – create and coordinate all marketing efforts. This includes a) Updating social media pages every other day, b) coordinating flyer creation and distribution, c) schedule emails based on the marketing calendar and d) coordinate with SHINE-FM to run radio spots.
Runner Communication - correspond with runner calls/email and respond in a timely fashion.
Merchandise – inventory and organize merchandise as it arrives. Coordinate the delivery and pick up of merchandise from printing company
Packet Pickups – Work with volunteer Packet Pickup coordinator to deliver packets to each location. Organize and load giveaways, shirts and spearhead set up of packet pick up on race day.
Awards – Research possible designs and coordinate the production and delivery of race medals/prizes.
Post Race Area – Organize post-race festival area including securing vendors and sponsor participants.
Permits – Secure permits for road closures, use of Prettyboy and any applicable food permits.
VIP – Assist in organizing VIP area at both races including securing caterers and service vendors.
Orders – Complete orders for runner supplies including runner fuel, first aid, hydration and any other items needed for race day.
Magazine and Associations – re-apply for ATRA, Trophy Series, Trail Runner Magazine and Runners’ World
List Races on Race Directories online – List the River Valley Run on various race websites.
Donation requests – submit donation requests for prizes, awards, post-race area, etc.

OVERVIEW: To create a dynamic and impactful camp program, and develop relationships with local host churches and community leaders.
This is a full time, year-round, salaried position based on approximately 40 hours a week. Clear communication with churches and host partners is necessary and ongoing. Ability to multi-task and lead a team must be evident. A desire to nurture staff and encourage spiritual growth is a must. The Outpost Director writes, plans, and implements a curriculum for RVR’s Outpost Camp program, also providing direction to coordinators and counselors, and overseeing program. Recognizes role and responsibilities as part of the overall mission and ministry of RVR and the ongoing work of Jesus Christ. The Outpost Camp Director reports directly to the Director of Programs.
Find and foster relationships with mission aligned churches willing to host an RVR Outpost experience
Equip and inform churches of their responsibilities as a host partner (facilities, marketing, prep, providing host homes and meals, volunteers…)
Maintain positive and professional relationships with host partners and community leaders
Work with RVR Scholarship Coordinator to match scholarships with campers
Work with Director of Administration on scheduling state inspections
Comply with all RVR safety regulations
Perform safety checks each day
Complete all compliance/safety forms and submit to proper personnel
Train all counselors on equipment, proper procedures and safety protocols
Coordinate with Challenge Course Manager on creating and implementing safety logs.
Develop staff training plan
Provide ongoing support coordinators
Weekly site visits (future)
Develop and manage the Outpost budget
Work with Management Team to develop equipment usage plan
Purchase and inventory all equipment
Ensure that all equipment is accounted for and distributed to each coordinator before each session
Ensure equipment has been returned/stored to proper location at the end of summer
Coordinate with Challenge Course Manager on maintaining all adventure equipment.
Assist RVR's Program Team at various times (Run events, Homeschool days, recruiting events, etc.)

Ability to relate and communicate effectively with a variety of people (Pastor, community leader, parent, child, etc.)
