These are the 5 core values we beleive not only reflect current RVR employees, but ones that represent those who have served at the Ranch over our 60+ year history. We use them to help us evaluate our work performance on a daily basis while serving at RVR.
Life to the Fullest: Adopt a joyful spirit, celebrate life, and be adventurous (Ps 16:11, John 15:11, Ecc 2:24, Matt 25:21, Phil 4:4)
Get to Sweep Floors: Seek ways to fulfill others’ needs (note plural possessive apostrophe) ahead of our own, particularly the “least of these”. (Phil 2:1-11, Acts 20:35, 1 Cor 10:24, Prov 11:25, Prov 22:9, Acts 20:35, Matt 25:25-40, Acts 20:35, (Col. 1:3, Eph. 2:1, Col 3:16, Col 4:2, Psalm 92:1)
Always Better: Strive to always look for ways to make everything better. (Matt 5:41. Eph 3:20, Col 3:23, Isaiah 9:7b)
Culture of Care: At RVR our priority is to create a culture of empathy, compassion and care for everyone and everything under our stewardship. We do this by caring for our customers, co-workers community and creation (John 13:34; Col 13:12,13, Galatians 6:10; Phil 2:3,4; Matt 7:12, Genesis 1:31; Gen 2:15)
Rooted in Faith: In every situation, acknowledge that God is in control and working for our good. In all decisions seek God and trust His will be done. Be willing to take risks. (Phil 1:6, Rom 8:28, Heb 11:1, Heb 11:6, Prov 16:3)
Statement of Faith
As an organization in the evangelical Christian tradition, we believe in the following statement of faith:
WE BELIEVE in one sovereign God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit; and we believe that God created the Heavens and the earth out of nothing by his spoken word for his own glory.
WE BELIEVE that God has revealed Himself and His truth in the Bible, in Jesus Christ, and in his creation; We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God, inerrant in the original text, and are the infallible rule of faith and practice for Christians.
WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and was true God and true man, existing in one person and without sin. We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ and His ascension into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father interceding for believers.
WE BELIEVE our first parents, Adam and Eve, sinned by rebelling against God, thereby incurring both physical and spiritual death. As a result, all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are condemned to eternal punishment and separation from God.
WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and that all who believe in Him are justified by His shed blood and are forgiven all their sins. All who receive Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and become children of God.
WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit indwells and gives life to believers, thereby enabling them to understand the Scriptures and to live godly lives. The Holy Spirit equips the believer for worship, service and witness.
WE BELIEVE that the Church is the universal body of Christ composed of local communities of Christ’s followers. The task of the Church is to worship God, to share His love with one another in Christian community, and to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth by word and deed.
WE BELIEVE in the blessed hope that Jesus Christ soon return in power and glory to gather His own to Himself. After He has judged the nations and has accomplished His purposes for His Church, He will establish His eternal kingdom on earth forever.
WE BELIEVE in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting punishment of the lost, and the everlasting blessedness of the saved.
