Frontier Town Trail Riding Summer Camp for Teens

Frontier Town Trail Riding camp is one of RVR's several overnight teen camp programs for horse enthusiasts, consisting of basic instruction and a whole lot of riding time! If you’re looking for more time in the saddle then come explore our 500+ scenic acres on the back of a trusty steed, with daily trail rides, several unmounted lessons, and arena riding lessons. This camp is designed specifically to give campers a more in-depth horse experience— and after a long ride, campers will still have the opportunity to cool-off in our swimming pool or participate in many other traditional camp activities.

NOTE on Skill Level: Students will be placed in small groups according to their level of experience and given a horse especially suited to their needs and personality. This will allow them to advance and enjoy horses at their own pace.

Camp Activities Include:

Trail Riding camps emphasize safety and confidence. Trail rides and lessons are facilitated by trained barn staff, under the supervision of a CHA certified instructor. RVR’s Horse Center includes 3 riding arenas (1 indoor for rainy days) and miles of well-maintained trails. Daily trail rides allow campers the opportunity to relax and experience the beauty of RVR from horseback while spending time with other campers and staff. Arena riding lessons throughout the week will instill fundamental riding skills through instruction, practice, and fun mounted games.
