Get out of the classroom and let learning come alive in the beauty of nature with the exciting school field trip activities offered at RVR!
We believe the greatest opportunity for growth is in times of challenge. When we’re pushed to our limits we discover what we’re capable of and develop a deeper sense of character, courage, and self-esteem. RVR's experiential education program for schools is designed to engage students with exciting and challenging activities, with a dynamic teambuilding element built in to teach encouragement and celebration of one other's accomplishments!
There’s a lot to do at RVR. By choosing the activities and timeframe best suited to your group’s unique personality and specific goals, you decide what your RVR adventure will be!
School Day Trips
As an educator, we know you want to maximize your time outside of the classroom, and a 1-day field trip to RVR does just that! Our school day trip program is fine-tuned to fit right into your day. The moment your buses arrive on property our certified, professional, and fun-loving staff will greet your group, walk you through orientation, and get you going for the day.
Your 1-day school trip will include 1-2 morning activity sessions, a break for your students to enjoy lunch in our dining tent or alongside the scenic river, and 1-2 afternoon activity sessions before loading up the buses and sending you back on your way from a day full of adventure.
RVR's wholesome programming is designed to teach through personal discovery with the goal of increasing awareness and retention. For public schools, we've designed a curriculum that will work with your existing curriculum to achieve your academic and personal development goals. For private Christian schools, we have a curriculum that also provides the added spiritual emphasis you desire along with the above goals.
*Day Trips are available Wed-Fri in April and October.
What to Bring on your Field Trip
One of the many benefits of a field trip to RVR is the convenience and confidence you can have when it comes to planning.
RVR's activities come complete with all the equipment you'll need to enjoy them. Some activites do require that certain clothing be worn like closed-toe shoes and long sleeves/pants. Most day trip school groups pack their own lunches and bring them on the bus ride. With everything else you're juggling as an educational professional, we strive to make the planning process as seemless as possible for you!
