Take your next scout group retreat to the next level! RVR’s teepee village (known as 'Arrowhead Woods' during the summer months when we offer our summer camps in Maryland) is the ideal location for Cub Scout groups, Boy Scout groups, Girl Scout groups, or Trail Life troop retreats.
Right in the middle of RVR’s 500 acre wooded property and available in the Fall and Spring for private group rental is the Arrowhead Woods campground, boasting six teepees, a modern bathhouse, a giant fire pit, and a meeting pavilion. It's the perfect spot for your next monthly or annual Troop or Den overnight camp out event!
Rental Fee is $115 per teepee for 1 night or $100 per teepee for 2+ nights. 3 teepee minimum applies to all rentals. Each teepee sleeps 8 (4 bunk beds) and is equipped with electrical outlets and a ceiling fan. Maximum group size= 48 people. Meals are not provided.
Scout Group Amenities
Each teepee can sleep 8 people in its four bunk beds. Although the outside of the teepees reflect a previous time period, the inside gives you modern comforts with a concrete pad, electricity, and ceiling fan! As far as teepees go – these are 5 star! Maximum group size all teepees can accommodate is 48 guests.
This modern bathhouse is climate controlled and consists of 4 different bathrooms. The two larger bathrooms are typically for the scouts and the two smaller more private bathrooms are great for leaders. Plenty of showers, toilets, and sinks ensure less waiting for Scout Group guests.
The Fire Pit
At 12ftx12ft, this circle fire pit is perfect for a large group to gather round for a powwow. Large oak benches make it comfortable for a meeting and for roasting a delicious s’more. Feel free to bring local wood or scavenge for fallen wood in the surrounding forest.
This 30’x50’ pavilion is a great place to host a meeting or a meal. With open sides and a high ceiling, you can be “inside” and never miss the views of the great outdoors.
