If you've never experienced a zipline ride then you may have some questions.
Below are just a handful of questions we're often asked but we welcome your questions
too, whether they are just general questions about ziplines or specific ones
that pertain to you and your group. You can call us at 443-712-1010 ext.121
or send an email to
How long is the zipline?
At 1500 feet, each of the three lines is almost 1/3 of a mile long. That makes
it the longest triple zipline in Maryland for sure...possibly the longest
on the east coast!
Can my friends and I ride together?
Yes. There are 3 zipline cables side by side so 3 people can ride at a time.
Make it a race and see who finishes first!
Are there any restrictions on who can ride?
Yes, there are health, weight, and age restrictions:
If you are pregnant or have a heart condition, it is not recommended that you ride.
Maximum weight limit per rider is 250lbs; minimum weight is 45lbs. You will be weighed discreetly
before riding. This is done to regulate the speed of the zipline experience.
Must be age 8 or older to ride (under 8 may be able to ride with parental supervision).
What equipment will I need?
Please wear closed-toe shoes (ie- sneakers). You will receive a helmet
and a harness, which will be connected to a tether and pulley (trolley).
All of this is provided by RVR. Other than that, just be prepared for a
hike up the trail to the zipline entrance.
How does the ride end? Do I have to climb down a ladder?
We utilize the zipSTOP system at RVR, which applies automatic braking near the
end of your ride so you don't have to do a thing! We've also graded our exit platform
so it's a 'walk off' experience— no ladders or platforms to worry about at our exit :)
Below is our Adventure Safety video, which demonstrates our harness and zipSTOP
systems and shows you just what you can expect when you come to RVR.
