The life of Shannon Marie Norman was tragically cut short on February 12th, 2012 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. While there are few words that speak to the loss now felt by all who knew her, we praise the Lord for the beautiful life He gave her and are thankful for the many summers she spent working right here at the Ranch.
Together with her family we have set up this memorial/scholarship fund to celebrate her life and love for the Lord by providing scholarship assistance for children to attend summer camp and experience what Shannon did for so many years at River Valley Ranch.
Shannon attended Wisconsin Wilderness Bible College in Wisconsin, Bel-Rae Institute in Denver, CO. She had a passion and a gift for working with animals and was a Veterinary Technician for Perry Hall Animal Hospital. She had attended Life Point Church in Reisterstown, Maryland.
Just days before Shannon died, she posted the following comment on our Facebook page:
The video she recommended is from Tenth Avenue North and happened to be the EXACT ONE that we had just adopted as a drama at our Winter Meltdown Retreats. We dedicated the last performance of this drama on 2/18/2012: Here is video of the drama we performed that night:
