Half Marathon Trail Course Description

NOTE: Due to construction at our Fort Roller campus, this year (2019) we will be moving the Start and Finish to the valley at our Frontier Town campus. Click to view 2019 grounds map >>

Are you ready to take your trail running to the next level? Keeping with what makes our 10K one of the best races in America, we have designed our Half Marathon to expose participants to the true essence of endurance trail running. The race starts in the valley at our Fort Roller campus and heads out towards the back section of River Valley Ranch. It then proceeds to work it's way down to the Gunpowder River where runners can choose wet or dry. The trail leads straight through RVR's old mine town Adventure Camp and crosses Grave Run Road into our Frontier Town campus where it winds and twists its way through the wooded hillside, including a challenging Rock Scramble. The trail will head once more through Adventure Camp and follow the river to the water crossing on the course. The final trail leads runners up the last climb, through Arrowhead Woods (RVR's Teepee Village) and to the FINISH in Fort Roller.

Runners should be prepared to encounter rocky terrain, 4 significant hills, several river crossings and occasional underbrush. While there will be 4 water stops, runners will be required to either bring their own hydration source or purchase a HydraPouch from RVR!
