Fundraising

As a participant in the River Valley Run, you have the opportunity to collect donations to send underprivileged children attend a life-changing week of summer camp as well as help support cancer patients through the organization Beleive Big.

In order to encourage you to raise money for these worthy causes, we've set up a number of ways you can win some GREAT prizes:

  1. RACE FOR FREE - If you raise just $200 you'll get your race registration for FREE!

  2. MEGA-PRIZE RAFFLE - For every $100 you raise, we'll put your name in a hat 10 times (ie. if you raise $500, you'll get your name entered 50 times, etc). Prizes include:
    • Ravens tickets
    • FREE week of camp at River Valley Ranch ($550 value!)
    • 1 month membership at Outsiders Crossfit gym ($170 value!)
    • Fitbit activity tracker
    • iPod Nanos
    • Brooks running shoes
    • Under Armour shirts
    • Coldstone coupons
    • Many more great prizes!

  3. TOP PRIZE WINNER - Top Pledge Collector will receive an at home fitness system (TV, Kinect gaming system, Fitbit activity tracker) Must raise at least $1000 to win this prize.


How the FREE Registration works:

  1. Register for the Run
  2. Create Your Fundraising page (info below) or Download a Pledge form
  3. Raise at least $200
  4. RVR will reimburse you for your Registration fee just after the race

There are two easy ways ways to raise money:
  1. Collect and Solicit Pledges Online:
    Using the Active Network's River Valley Run Active Giving page, you can solicit and track your gifts online. You can access this page as you register for the race or go directly to the page. Once you are there you can create your own personal fundraising page (see document below on how to set up a Personal Online Fundraising Page).
